Personally, I don't see a reason to denoise 3d films as they should have come straight from the computer into the Mpeg2 encoder, IE they should be as clean as it gets.

But what about you? Do you prefer to denoise them? If so, why?

Same thing goes for digital anime really, but often times there's dithering and quantization noise that doesn't look *too* bad on the DVD (often times it resembles grain, though there is a difference), but will usually get far too corrupted in further compression. Ironically enough, I usually apply an mvdegrain to most digital stuff just for this very reason.
