Anyone got a changelog, what differences are there? I have a quad core, hoping it improves multithreading some more.
Thanks!

Indeed, I would like to know where the "1.3.0" version number came from... last I checked, there's only been one CVS commit since 1.2.1 (it looks like two, but the one right after the 1.2.1 version bump seems to be in 1.2.1 changelog? Maybe wrong? Anyways, all that's happened is real minor stuff.
As for VAQ-MTK, VAQ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=135093) you should know, and MTK (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1224703#post1224703) is an included set of profiles for standalone players.

hi, i don`t use VAQ and MTK profile, so what version of xvid is the recommended 1.2.1 or 1.3.0, or doesn't mind because is the same

why dont you read before asking? it is one of the forum rules...
xvid 1.3.0 is a development branch... while 1.2.1 is the stable branch.
draw your conclusions...

@Sharktooth thank you for the explanation, i'll read in future before asking, but sometimes language is a problem for me.
@elguaxo nice to see you. i don`t use because VAQ is incompatible with SAP, but I'll try it.
Feliz aņo nuevo!

I think some SAP (not divx certified) have problems with PB, CQM, GMC and AQ (VAQ). Am I in a mistake?
I will do my own test with my players as soon as possible.

I think some SAP (not divx certified) have problems with PB, CQM, GMC and AQ (VAQ). Am I in a mistake? That's complete nonsense. Supporting deltaquants is a required part of the spec, even for Simple Profile. Many popular MPEG-4 encoders have used AQ for years now, such as Apple's.

I think at least the "GMC" part is not nonsense...

I think at least the "GMC" part is not nonsense...Hence the fact that I said "AQ" in my post and not "GMC"...

DivX Home Theater Profile doesn't support CQMs or GMC. Theoretically a Home Theater-certified player can support CQMs and GMC but it doesn't have to. These features fall outside of the Home Theater Profile specs.

Of course. It's Simple Profile compatible as Dark Shikari stated before.
My Home Theater-certified Philips DVP3142/12 supports it without problems ;)

Clearly the original poster is either completely misconfusing acronyms, or he's got one f**ked up player!
