What to use to convert AVS to DVD or AVI [Archive]

Hello all,

I am at a loss here. What program can I use to use an Avisynth script (.AVS) as an input and get an Mpeg-2 or Avi file (video and sound) as an output?

I am currently using Virtualdub and would just like to try other programs for quality sake.

MPEG-2: an MPEG-2 encoder like HCEnc, TMPGEnc, etc etc - see MPEG-2 forum section
AVI: something like MeGUI, AVIdemux, AVS2AVI, etc etc - see MPEG-4 forum sections.

(btw, AVI could mean almost any format inside - "AVI" is only a container).
