DXVA Checker Showing wrong graphics card

-I have a hd 4850
-dxva checker shows an x700(my old graphics card) with these settings
-MPC Video Decoder says that I have an x700 as well

What I did(today):
-I uninstalled through ati install manager
-took out my x700, installed 4850
-install ati drivers and ccc
-uninstalled and used drive cleaner(on ati and ati ccc)
-installed asus custom drivers
-uninstalled through catalyst and device manager restarted then used drive cleaner.
-installed asus updated drivers
-updated using ati and catalyst drivers.
-device manager shows ati radeon HD 4800 series

Now dxva thinks I have an x700

My MPC uses 5-14 percent of my e6600(dual core) while playing the Transformers BluRay file about (43 gigs).

My setup:
e6600
asus radeon eah4850 top
vista sp1 64bit
latest mpc homecinema

Should MPC-HC be using less of my cpu?
How can I fix this problem if there is a problem?

I actually had this problem when I upgraded to a 4870 from a GF 8800GT which was preceded by a X1900XL. DirectX thought I had the 1900XL installed and was denying DX10 functionality.

I was able to fix it by:

1. Uninstalling ATI software
2. Running Driver Cleaner
3. **back up your registry** (I didn't do this and ended up making things worse before I was able to fix it, see below)
4. Rebooting into safe mode
5. Running RegEdit and manually deleting all references to the X1900 (This was where I messed up, I deleted something I shouldn't have. I was able to fix it by pulling the entry from my laptop, but I got lucky)
6. Reboot and install Catalyst drivers.

This fixed the issue for me. If you aren't comfortable with editing the registry, you may need to re-install windows.

Do you know of a way of setting the permissions of every registry key at once in vista 64-bit? There are a few references I need to erase under enum; however, I need to set the permissions of each directory and subdirectory manually. I've been doing one for 7 minutes and I'm no where near done with the first one. I know DAF is 32 bit only.
