Does anyone know where I can get technical information on Gmail's new video chat feature?
They mention it uses H264, but nothing else. I'm especially interested in what encoder they're using, as well as what resolution and bitrate? How does this compare to, say, Skype?
Dark Shikari mentioned in another thread that YouTube were once using a very old x264 revision for their HD experiments (revn 54), but that it's been updated since. Might Gmail be using x264 also?
