Some I have some Anime DVDs I have been trying to convert to mkv with with nothing but frustrating failure. The are 'episodic', but are all in one PGC, and spread across several VOBs, so I have no idea how to go about converting these.

I have tried Using DVD shrink and setting the beginning and end chapters to a specific, but I never get subtitles to burn. I have tried creating VOBs from specific chapters using DVD Decrypter, but that also fails. I tried Handbrake, but it doesn't recognize the DVDs as valid.

Any ideas or help would be great!!

Well, I may found my own solution, even if it is a poor one. Use Automkv to convert the single PGC to one giant mkv, then use mkvmerge to chop it into the pieces the represent each episode.

automkv can handle pgc in dvd, just select the pgc you want (upper right box)

Thanks for the response, but in this case the episodes are not separated by PGC. There is one PGC that is two hours long and several that are just a few seconds. There is also only two IFO files, neither of which helps divide the discs in 5 episode pieces.

Does Automkv all my to select particular chapters to rip?

I tried that, but it lost all subtitles when I didn't include chapter 1.
