How big is AC3 track for 90 min film?

If i used something like handbrake to grab the AC3 audio track, how big in filesize is the ac3?

Depends on the numbers of channels / bitrate. If it's from a DVD, load it up in any popular transcoder and check the filesize.

if you load the (presumably) DVD into DVDShrink, you'll see the sizes of each file...

by the way if i use GUI like handbrake then the AC3 is a passthru without reencoding right?

No, it can be 1, 2 channel, whatever. And 5.1 can be at 384kbps or 448 and 2 channel can be at 192 or 224. Just load your DVD up in your transcoder (setarip has suggested DVD Shrink) and see the size.
