Ok this is strange at least for me.
I got a HD2600 pro ATI card and I am running XP and Vista 64.
I was playing with the color output settings in ffdshow trying to get the ATI CCC sharpening and other features to work.
I noticed that when I select color output to anything BUT NV12, even if I am selecting EVR in MPC-HC, I would still get VMR7 Windowed instead.
I first noticed this in RECLOCK and then check the rendered and yes it says VMR7.
Now, if I change the color output back to NV12 then I do get EVR rendering.
Whats going on here?
I am trying to get the best image quality from HD mkv files and so far the best for me is using my CPU with some software decoder instead of using my video card with powerdvd for instance.
Anyway, all recommendations are welcome. :thanks:
