View Full Version : how to create video thumbnails for a DVD menu?

Can anyone explain how I should make thumbnail movies for using in a DVD menu? All the DVD authoring software I've tried thus far only makes a non moving thumbnail of the first frame of a movie.
I'd prefer an explanation for Scenarist or Sonic's Fusion.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, since no-one else has seen fit to reply to this enquiry, and since I now have access to the forum again (thanks for the password reset, doom9!!), I'll answer it!!

First of all, apologies to Doom9 for the link to Flexion, rather than re-writing the answer here, but this is simply because the reply is extremely long, requiring several segmented posts, and I am only on a 9600kbps connection (i.e. a mobile phone connected to my laptop) , so this isn't really feasible.

DrPaul, you will find the information you asked for, here (#please note that the link below will jump to the second page of the thread, so you will need to go to page one of the thread for it to make sense, and for you to actually get the relevant information!#):

If you need anymore help, then post your request for help either here on Doom9, over at Flexion, or PM me on either site, and I will do my utmost to help you. It's worth the effort to do these animated menus as they really do look superb.
