I've been trying to make a .mkv from a VC-1 video track and an AC3 audio track using mkvmerge.exe of MKVtoolnix, but it won't accept VC-1 video. Does anyone know a way to make an .mkv out of the VC1 that I have??
I also have an EAC3 (higher definition) version of the audio track, but is that even supported by PCs?

The newest version accepts raw vc-1 input
You can playback EAC3 with a proper decoder.

Alright cool! It worked, I've been trying for months now so that's probably why 2.4 wasn't around when i first tried :D
I get this error in VLC when trying to play my EAC3 track:
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf".
Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
Do I need to install a decoder plugin/DLL for VLC or something?

You could install FFDShow Tryouts.
