Hello,
I have a VC-1 video file that I muxed into m2ts with TsMuxer.
When I tried to open it with MkvMerge to merge it with a AC3 audio file, I got an error message that this format can't be opened with MkvMerge.
So now, I am encoding this file with MeGUI to vonvert it to an MKV format and then I can merge it with audio file in MkvMerge.
MeGUI take about 12 hours to make this fantastic Job1 + Job2.

Is there a shorter way to obtain this MKV video.
In fact it's the favorite format of my TVix JukeBoxe because it didn't accept the initial 22Go m2ts video file.

Wrong forum. VC-1 does not equal H.264 or AVC.

Don't repost, a mod will move it to the relevant subforum.

Extract streams from M2TS with TSMuxer, use VC12AVI to mux VC1 to AVI, then mux resulting AVI and original AC3 to MKV with MKVMerge. Works for me.

Lastest MKVMerge supports VC1 ES input.
No need to mux to AVI first.

mkvmerge works for me on VC1...

Perhaps there is something peculiar about your file?

Maybe send a sample to Mosu to examine in the mkvtoolnix thread?

Don't even find the extention (.m2ts) of my VC-1 video to open it with mkvmerge.

It's OK now, I extract de vc1 file from m2ts with TsMuxer Demux radio button.
The same way I extract the ac3 file with the same program.
The new version 2.4.0 of mkvmerge open both files and merge them prefectly.
This way I can see my video in language I want and with the favorite conteneur of my Tvix.
Don't need this time to resize or to redimention my video file wich take really very long time.

Sorry for this time, I was'nt in the right thread, I'm just 2 month's old
