Okay, so I'm trying to rip my DVD collection to WMV format, and I am having a few problems. I want to convert them to WMV with the following settings, because the file size is perfect for my zune.

Video - resolution: 320x240 bit rate: 350kbps frame rate: 29.97 codec: Windows Media Video 9
Audio - bit rate: 64kbps frequency: 44100kHz mode: stereo (A/V) 1-pass constant bit rate. codec: Windows Media Audio 9.2

I have tried so many programs, but none of them will give me these exact settings. Here is a video with the settings I am trying to achieve. If you could suggest a program that I could use to get these settings to rip my DVDs, that would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded that program, and it let me use those settings, but it uses the Windows Media Video 8 codec instead of 9, which makes the quality very bad. Do you know how to get it to encode in Windows Media Video 9?

No idea.

Other options: you can try Windows Media Encoder, AutoMKV, WMNicEnc, or WMVMuxer

You need to know basic avisynth scripting for the last 2.

350kbps is pretty low bitrate, even at that low resolution so don't expect good quality. If your player supports WVC1 (I doubt it) it would be better quality than WMV3 (which you referred to as WMV9)

I downloaded AutoMKV, and I really like the program. I just don't know how to create a profile with the settings that I mentioned. If you could guide me through it, or create me a profile with those settings, that would be appreciated. Thank you.

I don't use automkv very often; perhaps you could ask for help in the automkv thread?

MediaCoder should be the easiest way.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I keep getting error codes. Could you tell me how to convert from DVD to WMV with that program? Thank you.
