AACskeys? How do u get it to work?

I tryed "backing up" my BR thru Any DVD HD but it gets errors around the 90% mark... so I figured I would try the keys thing and upon research I found the threads here but I haven't seen anything on how to get it to work or what to do? Can someone please help or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

NM I got it to work but how long does it take to scan the disc? will it say CPS and Volume Key or are they possibly called something else?
its been running for appox 10 min ( at time of post) and all I see so far is processing key and some other stuff????

aacskeys doesn't scan the disc, it should run pretty fast. If not started in verbose mode you only get the DiscID and the Volume Unique Key.. or an error message :D.

Regarding your description it would be quite helpful to know the command line and especially that some other stuff.

Ok I'm using dumphd and last night it started telling me that my host cert was revoked..... I thought that I could use the processing key to use in blueraydiskripper.. so I tryed it and it worked perfectly. However when I tryed to us tsmuxer to extract the m2ts files it didn't reconize the files? is that because of the wrong key? should it have worked at all? I have everything ( it seems).

The reason I'm trying the CPS keys is because when I used any dvd hd it would give me an error around the 80% mark... I thought maybe I wasn't getting a "full Backup"

Regarding the drive you mentioned in another thread here this is what i excpected you should see so i was surprised that you wrote that nothing happened instead.

No, it didn't. You can't decrypt a disc with a processing key, a processing key is used to decrypt the keys which decrypt the disc. The latest Blu-Ray Disc ripper should be able to detect this and reject the key. Your "decrypted" disc is just junk.

Hmm, thats strange, i don't know exactly how AnyDVD operates but this looks to me like something is wrong with your disc, can you play everything on it without problems?

yes the disc plays.. I have never been good with programs. I saw a thread concerning the Host Cert and the drive revoking it.. is there a way to over come this?

have you already patched your drive firmware with Oopho2ei (and company)'s firmware patch? the thread for it is here:

this should fix (bypass actually) your problem with the host cert being revoked. Patching your drive firmware can be dangerous though - i would recommend that you to take all precautions that are advised by Oopho2ei in that thread. good luck!

He is using a LiteOn drive, there are no patches for this one.

To get the Volume ID for your disc you have to use DumpVID together with a software player.

I'm using DumpVID but what software player do I need.. I have PowerDVD if thats what your asking? How can I get it to work from there?

Please search this forum (only the decryption part) for dumpvid.. this question has been asked and answered a bunch of times and you'll find detailed instructions if you just search. With processing keys available, dumpvid hasn't been a topic for many so posts might be a bit older but they are still valid.
