Several of my x264 with nero aac in mkv containers has abnormal sounds, this happen when I used menc as the encoder, but when I used Ffmpeg as the encoder, the sound is normal, does the problem derived from Menc muxer ?

Thanks

Certainly sounds like it....

Are you refering to mencoder?

If so it could simply be a issue with the command line you have passed to it.

@Dat720, yes, I referred to mencoder, I used a GUI to set mencoder, so I'm not really sure which command line is the culprit, is there any problem similar to mine, which has been verified ?

Couldn't even begin to answer that, i have been using mencoder for years and never come across any problems like that.

When doing HD/BR Videos i use mencoder to do the video only, usually i use eac3to to process audio.

I have about 60 M2TS (for ease of use with the PS3, luckily MythTV uses mplayer so it's also happy with M2TS) all of them have video that was encoded with mplayer and audio that was converted from DTS/EAC3/TrueHD to AC3, then muxed with tsMuxer.

I would update the build of mencoder (google will be your friend here) and try again, what GUI are you using?
