I have a DVD with an enterview with PCM audio and I want it in AC3 to save some useful space before to compress it with dvdrebuilder. These is what I do:
1-Use PGCdemux to demux all the streams. The audio is in sync.
2-Use Belight to compress to AC3.
3-Use muxman to mux it.
But the audio is out of sync. Is any better way to do it??? Maybe is Belight? THX in advance. Sorry for my english.

1-Use PGCdemux to demux all the streams. The audio is in sync.
Is it in sync before or after demuxing? If it is in sync before, then hit check a/v delay and input that when you reauthor in muxman.

I checked the a/v elay in pgcdemux and say it's 0. The problem seems to be in the conversion. Wich program I have to use instead of Belight???

The audio conversion never introduce async. You can use BeLight, BeHappy, command line or commercial encoders, the result is always the same (talking about async):
All ac3 encoders introduce only 5.333 ms of delay (can't be detected) and using Aften -pad 0 the delay is 0 ms.
You must search the problem in demuxer/muxer or video framerate changes.

After doing some more testing. I decided to convert the video to avi to verify that the conversion is in sync. I used autoGordianKnot. After demuxing the files DGIndex pop this window

And the output avi isn't in sync also .

Use last DGIndex versions to avoid this error.
Use eac3to (something like):
eac3to D:\Path\VTS_01_1.VOB+VTS_01_2.VOB+VTS_01_3.VOB
and show the log.

Try with this ac3:
eac3to D:\Path\VTS_02_1.VOB+VTS_02_2.VOB+VTS_02_3.VOB 3: output.ac3 -192

I used eac3to to encode the audio but the sync problem still present. After doing several testing I figured out a delay of 500ms. I encoded the audio to AC3 with eac3to with 500ms of delay and after muxing it work like a charm. I don't know where's the audio problem benneath but at least I knew a kick ass tool like eac3to. THX a lot everybody for bring me your help.
