I have a video program that I've had for about 2 years. It is getting worn from being reinstalled. I've attempted to make a backup at least 11 times with essentially the same results.
When I install using the backup disc, the install completes except the program needs to see something on the disc that isn't there.
I've used Alcohol, DVDFab with identical results.
When I put in the original disc, the program finishes the install process.

Maybe some advice?

Thanks - Jim

CDs don't get worn from being reinstalled. They get worn from being mistreated. Be careful with it.

I don't know why an ISO copy doesn't work.

Sounds like a good copy protection scheme...

I would suggest checking out Club.CD-Freaks.com (http://club.cdfreaks.com/) as they seem to be "in the know" about cd/dvd copy protection other than the standard CSS, RipGuard, etc.
