I have a video and i wanna make it to a dvd

We have a video that we recorded on our camcorder...we were able to put it onto a DVD using a DVD recorder. Now we want to put it onto our blog, but the IFO file format that it is currently in is not usable by pretty much any movie maker. Is there a way to reformat it so that we can edit it and upload it to the internet?

Hi!

You can use the venerable SmartRipper to convert your DVD to a SINGLE .VOB (Set "Filesize" to 8,500). Since your DVD is homebrewn, it very likely contains only one videostream and one audiostream. Therefore, just change the extender from ".VOB" to ".MPG".

You should now have a viable MPEG-2 video...
