How can I convert this file to AVI without any (or not much) loss in quality?
Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 720x306 23.98fps [Video]
Audio: AAC 48000Hz 6ch [Audio]
Subtitle: Advanced SubStation Alpha [Subtitle]
this info is supplied by Media Player classic..
thanx

that's a physically impossible source as mp4 doesn't support Advanced Substation Alpha streams.
It doesn't even support Substation Alpha streams for that matter.
Supported text formats:
SRT Subtitles .srt
SUB Subtitles .sub
GPAC Timed Text .ttxt
QuickTime TeXML Text .xml (cf QT documentation)
now truthfully, what are you working with?

This information was provided by Media Player Classic. I don't know why it is showing Advanced Substation Alpha [Subtitle] because it doesn't have any subtitles in it.

If you don't know what your file actually is or what it really has inside it already, that sounds like a rule 6 violation. Just create an avi from the original rip.
