Sorry for the very unhelpful title, I can't think how best to phrase it. I'm sure this is really easy, but haven't found a way which describes it using the standard tools :o

All I want to do is extract the MPEG2 video and one audio track (preferably the 5.1 AC3) and have it muxed into a single vob file / MPEG2 file so I can play it back on a PS3 using a DLNA server. Vstrip and it seems like a program suited for this purpose, but cannot find any detailed description of the GUI (using 0.8f by maven). I have tried it but I only seem to end up with the video and an audio track, but not the audio I want, i.e. a stereo track in a different language.

What's the easiest / simplest way of doing this?

Is it a case of picking the correct Video Stream from the Stream list in the output tab and then clicking on SubStreams and picking the correct audio track?

If so, which video Stream because there are 8 listed from?

0xE0 (Video Stream 0)
0xE1 (Video Stream 1)
...
0xE7 (Video Stream 7)

For audio, the tracks are at the normal DVD positions, starting at 0x80 and then these are listed in the SubStream list with the same addresses, but in the normal Streams list, audio starts at 0xC0 (Audio Stream 0)
0xC1 (Audio Stream 1)
...
0xC7 (Audio Stream 7)

From the IFO tab, I know which stream I want as they detail the language and format.

But then there are also PCM Audio Streams starting at 0xA0

Thanks :o

Try tsMuxeR, i have muxed heaps of DVD's to m2ts and the PS3 plays them back perfectly, unless they have DTS audio, you will need to recode it to either MP3 or AC3, obviously AC3 is preferable, but if it's a older 2ch movie theres probably not much of a difference.
