Bluray M2TS Encrypting without AnyDVD HD

Hey guys, i was just wondering does any program decrypt a encrypted m2ts file straight from a bluray without AnyDVD? I dumped this file from a ps3 using SAK and now i want to convert the file to another format edit etc. but this file cannot be open in any program.

Yes you can use DumpHD (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=123111) together with the aacskeys module. If you don't have the volume id for the discs you need to patch (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=139522) your drives firmware to bypass AACS authentication which is currently only supported for LG drives. If you don't have an LG drive you can experiment with DumpVID. You need to have basic knowledge about the decryption process to do this.

If the OP has the possibility to read the disc on a PC this would be a way, but from what he writes i think he can access the disc only with his PS3, in this case the situation is different.

AFAIK you can copy all (encrypted) files off the disc with the PS3 but you can't get the Volume ID from it because the Hypervisor blocks access to it. However, this information is over a year old, maybe there is a workaround for this now, i dont know. If not, you need to have the VUK / CPS Unit Key from the disc because you can't calculate these without the Volume ID.

If you have these keys you can use DumpHD to decrypt the file(s) if you keep the Blu-Ray disc structure intact (you need at least to have the index.bdmv and the m2ts file in the proper location, additionally you need the AACS directory). Additionally you can try Blu-ray Disc Ripper 1.2 for .NET, not sure what you need for it to detect your files as proper source.

But if your disc contains BD+ you can forget all that above because currently only AnyDVD HD can decrypt that, but maybe that will change soon ;).

Ok. Maybe he could search this (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=120988) thread then to see if he finds a volume unique key for his discs. Somebody should make a database from these keys btw.
