How do I converting and merging severak vob files into one high quality x264 mkv ?

As in several vobs in a dvd? If so, then try the StaxRip beta releases and use an x264 constant quality preset. MeGui would also work and it has far more options but it is also more complicated.

Thanks, is the sequence of merging is the same as like in the job list ?

So if I have put those vob files in the job list like this :
VTS_01_2.vob
VTS_01_3.vob
VTS_01_4.vob
VTS_01_5.vob

So in the output mkv, the scene from VTS_01_2.vob is followed by VTS_01_3.vob, which in turns followed by VTS_01_4.vob and end with VTS_01_5.vob ?

Solved it, btw it still to large for mkv, 1,54 gigs x264 for 3,6 gigs of vobs, using the slow crf22 setting

You can try bitrate based modes or raise the crf value.

Thanks, succeed in compressing a 2 hour 15 minutes vobs into 690 megs mkv =)
