I am using Scenarist SD and my menu page has over 20-buttons.

When I tried to make a button for any number past 18, it told me i was at my limit for this type of button (some sort of dual/double button or something).

When i looked at the Sonic Spec sheet it says i get 36 buttons, so why is Scenarist registering each button i make as 2-buttons?

Any help?

There are 36 buttons, and menus for 4:3 can use all 36. But because 16:9 menus must have 2 or 3 different display modes (widescreen and 1 or 2 of the modes for 4:3 viewing) the 36 buttons get divided up. The reason for this is the button rectangles are different in each display mode to match the resized video.

If you really need to use more than 18 buttons change the menu to a 4:3 one. Note, all the menus in the titleset must be the same format.

Not the only method.

If you need to use more than 18 buttons, then you will have to create a double of your page storing the remaining buttons.

On your first page have 17 buttons, and draw a big button over the area containing the remaining 3.

Now create a new track with the exact same menu and draw the remaining 3 buttons with one big button over the area containing the first 20.

Now make that "big button" on page 1 auto-activated, and the same with the "big button" on page 2. Then just link them together.

That way when pressing down to the "big button" on page 1, it'll auto load page 2. And vice-versa.

If the menus is moving, you will notice a pause in video/audio. If it's a still menu you will notice a delay.

Not ideal, but no need to make it 4:3.
