does anyone know how to bypass/disable macrovision so i can watch dvds through my tv output? ive got windows 98 with a gforce 2 mx400 and a samsung sd-612s dvdrom

You could just rip the DVD to your HD and play it back form there, if you have enough free space. Most rippers have an option to remove macrovision protection. Maybe someone else knows of a realtime way to remove macrovision.

There are many patches out there for your type of problem...though I don't know of any specifically for your problem off the top of my head. I would try DVD Genie and see if that doesn't solve your problem... it can be had at www.vcdhelp.com under the tools section....
