Hello,
I am having difficulty re-sharpening a source after applying dehaloing and I kindly ask if someone else can experiment a bit to do a better job. Please.
A clip from the original source is here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?qhziewrwirv
It is from Avatar: The Last Bender. I asked many months ago how to dehalo the source:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=132277
Season 1 is VERY oversharpened and I think I am getting very picky about my end results because I am still dissatisfied about the dehaloing as well. My current best is this:
dehalo_alpha(brightstr=1.3,darkstr=1.3,rx=2.25,ry=2.25,lowsens=100,highsens=0)
which is very strong and so requires a lot of sharpening (great script Didee!) I have tried:
Sharpen()
aWarpSharp()
LimitedSharpenFaster()
with a mixture of antialiasing to make it nice and clean:
SAA()
AAA()
and a function I found in AnimeIVTC() called daa() (which is nice and slow but pretty good)
and many others [like toon().] I am always having the trouble of too much aliasing, too blurry, and/or too much halo-ing.
Am I too picky? (how does my family live with me?)
Thanks ahead of time,
Z
