Hi all,
how can I make a AVI or MKV file from a DVD, without recompressing the VOB's, therefor keeping the original Mpeg2-Stream, and the quality contained on the DVD 1:1 in the output-file?
I thought I may know how to do it, but it did not work: I opened VOB-files DVD Decrypter extracted bevorhand in VirtualDubMod. I chose the "null transform" -filter, and saved the file. The 171 MB VOB-files was decompressed and ended up as a 7.xx GB file - this is not what I had in mind! The output file of course can not be larger than the VOB-file it was made of.
Any ideas?
