I have a file that is giving me a problem in nero vision.

It is the movie ripped from a blu-ray disc with anyDVD-HD. that 33 gig file is run through tsmuxer 1.88b to remove everything except the video track and the ac-3 audio track. nero vision chokes on this file. It says a necessary component is missing from nero vision. Another test file from:
http://av.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/20060809/ezhqp2.m2ts
works fine.

So, what are the differences? This is what tsmuxer v1.88 reports:
codec track info
My file: VC-1 Profile:advanced@3 Resolution 1920:1080p frame rate 23.976
AC3 Bitrate 640 kbps 48 khz channels:6
test file H.264 Profile:Main@4 Resolution 1440:1084i Frame Rate 29.97
AC3 Bitrate 480 kbps 48 khz channels:6

Nero Showtime plays the audio for my file but not my video. AND it puts up the same dialog saying that a necessary component is missing.
VLC also fails to play my file with the error that it cannot play files of type 'wvc-1'

so it seems, somewhere in the ripping of the file or the remuxing. the stream is not labeled properly (wvc-1) although it is identified as vc-1 by tsmuxer.
nero recode doesnt even see m2ts files.
so now i have to figure out how to fix my file. any suggestions on the proper method to fix? All i did was rip with AnyDVD HD,run tsmuxer and output another m2ts file. What are my other options-demux then remux? or is there another solution? What is a wvc-1 filetype?

Nero may need extra components to play VC1 files, i'm not overly sure as i don't use it....

The difference between the 2 files you have is the codec, VC1 and H264 are 2 very different codecs if Nero doesnt support VC1 then it won't be able to decode it.

WVC-1 and VC1 are the same thing, it just depends how the muxer labeled the track or what encoder was used.... i can't remember which one.

To demux HD/BD i use eac3to, it has never failed me yet, i have ripped my entire collection of HD's with it and quite a few BD's Give it a go.
