Hi all, I have a new digital camcorder that records on to SD card in MP4 format, I'm trying to use windows movie maker to put sceans together but it doesn't support the format, any suggestions how I can convert to a useable format, or another programme that will use MP4 and allow transitions etc, thanks in advance:thanks:

Hi!

I use Magic Video Converter (http://www.magic-video-software.com/mvc.html) for simple stuff like this. It costs $20, but is a simple, fast one click solution, and produces reasonably good-looking results. And it is fast.

Cheers.

I have a Sanyo HD1000 camera that records on to memory cards. I use mp4cam2avi http://sourceforge.net/projects/mp4cam2avi/

I convert the file to AVI with no video compression and say wav selected as audio or mp3 etc - very fast and then drop the files into Vegas etc.
