We don't use the word best here. The way to get optimal results would be to use Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) made in Singapore. Then burn with ImgBurn.

i burnt one using clone dvd without decrpyting it is watchable but would like better quality but 20episdes on 4.7 disk might be asking a bit 2 much

When you cloned it you have a cloned copy that should be burned to a DL disc. The quality should be the same as the original.

If I understand correctly, wacka wants to burn a DVD9 on a single layer DVD.

There is no "best method" to do that, as the method depends of what you want.

You can extract and burn only the main movie (or some episodes), or keep the original menus and titles but remove the useless stuff (studio logos, previews, bonus titles, useless menu language units, etc...) and then compress the remaining files with a good program (I would recommend DVDShrink instead of CloneDVD) or re-encode it with DVDRebuilder.

Removing useless stuff is not always easy, and you will need to learn some tools such as VobBlanker, PgcEdit, FixVTS, or, if you prefer the commercial way, DVDReMake Pro.

Anyway, IMO, this thread is not in the good forum. The problem is not burning, but shrinking the original material. Maybe a moderator could move this thread in the IFO/VOB Editors forum.

U can use a tool named iso maker to get this done, google it.
