i was wondering if there's any way to change the quality bitrate with DGIndex. whenever i use it my files come out to 192. however, i was wondering if i could make them 320? or is there another, more efficient method of extracting audio from a DVD you guys can recommend?

DGIndex doesn't encode anything. There is an option to decode AC3 to WAV, but that's it. For an alternative, DVD Decrypter can also demux (extract) the audio when it rips.
