Hi!

Long story short: I bought a couple of HDD's, put them in RAID1, moved tons of movies there, one of them failed (yeah, it was new) and the array was unsynced, tried to sync but failed at 62%... at the end I tried to recover what I could, I checked which MKV movies would open and which not, and copied the ones that at least opened.

However I can't be sure if they don't have errors in the middle! Is there a way to ensure that they're not screwed? With AVI files I could try VDubMod and the "scan video streams for errors"... but it takes ages to open MKVs in VdubMod. Perhaps one of the MKVtoolnix utils could do it?

Any ideas appreciated, 360GB of movies with uncertain integrity :( !

Thanks!

MKVVerify (http://alexander-noe.com/video/mkvverify/) should be useful for you. It can batch verify all mkv in a directory.
