How to merge multiple DVD5's into a DVD9 with compression and custom menu?

I have tried DVD-Remake PRO and it does what im looking for, kinda.

I would like to have alot more control over the menu that it creates, also i would like to be able to compress the resulting vob file structure so i can fit more DVD5's onto each DVD9.

Each dvd5 is only like 1.5 gigs, so i can fit alot on a dvd9, however i have close to 20 dvds that i need to merge down into dvd9's, and they can easier be compressed, as they are just speeches.

Any ideas on how to do this?

I usually use DVD Flick, it's probably not what your looking for as you don't have a tremendous amount of control over the menu, give it a go tho, i think if you are after lots of control over menu's you are going to have to pay for some decent authoring software, not even sure what to recomend as i don't author many dvd's at all.
