View Full Version : Separating VOB chapters after decrypting

I had several cartoon DVDs that had 10+ episodes of each show per DVD. Since I was in a rush I just copied the entire VOB to the hard drive. I noticed each episode showed up as a separate "Chapter" when I originally copied the DVD, but saving time I selected all chapters and ripped it to later encode to XviD.

Now that it's on my hard drive, what can I do to "re-rip" it to another folder as separate chapters/episodes.

I know I can use DGIndex and and set start and end locations to separate them for an encode. But this takes a lot of time...especially since I'll have to do this for like 50+ episodes, which also means scrolling through the VOB with DGIndex to find the exact start and end points of an episode.

Any help to speed things up for me would be appreciated.

You could just re-rip the original. This would save time.

One of the easiest methods of ripping individual episodes from a disk is to use DVD Decrypter in IFO mode.

Good old Smartripper can do that for you on the dvd on your HD. Load in & just tick the episode you want and rip it out, un-tick it, tick the next ep and rip it out, continue till finished.
