I have quite a few DVD's, Baby Einstien to be exact, that I'm trying to rip to avi. so I can play them with the PS3 without having to ever touch the DVD again, I can preserve it. Anyway, the 1st one worked fine, other than no sound in media player 11, sound comes through on PS3 fine, movie plays, all is great, with that one. Used DVD Decrypter 3.5.4 to extract VOB's, used AutoGK 2.48b to rip down to .avi format. When I tried the same method on the next DVD, same scenario in MP11, no sound but video plays fine, only this time when I try to play it on the PS3 it says unsupported data type. I tried DVD Shrink & 2 versions of AutoGK on the second disk with no luck, & now the third disk is giving me the same problems. Any suggestions.

Hi!

Disney acquired the "Baby Einstein" entity after about 6 "Baby Einstein" had been produced (Baby Bach, Baby Mozart, etc.). Chances are you're encountering a "mixed bag" of some pre-acquisition DVDs ,with no special copy protection, and some post-acquisition DVDs, containing a version of "RipGuard" copy protection.

RipIt4Me and/or DVDFab HD Decrypter (handles standard DVDs as well as HD) should readily process all of them properly...
