(screenshots before the correction and the filter that would be used)

is a starting point since it has descriptions of the filters.

Adding in before after pics or simple vids would be quite an undertaking but would be useful. I would see this being more useful for effects and adjustment filters more so then some of the magical filters out there, since most of those filters should not be used willy-nilly.

Most of the filters described in my AMV postprocessing guide have before/after screenshots (but they're all lossless PNGs, so not recommended for dial-up users), and all of them have descriptions:

I only have the three pages on smoothers done yet, but it's a start.

However, you might not find it so helpful if you're working with live-action footage.
