K-Lite Codec Pack is this pack worth getting and where is the official site, virus-free? :D

No one needs any codec "pack" - they're usually more trouble than their worth. Just install filters/codecs as you discover you need them. Start out with the FFDShow filter for virtually all of your playback needs...

All you need:
MPC HC (http://www.xvidvideo.ru/content/view/253/1/):
This will in most cases play everything you can feed it without the need for extra filters.
FFDShow (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=173941):
Just download the most recent build. It should be fine.
Haali Media Splitter (http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/):
You'll probably want this if you are using FFDShow.
VSFilter (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=205650&package_id=246121&release_id=541232):
You might also want to get this for displaying subtitles if you don't use MPC HC for this purpose. You will need to put the .dll somewhere (I put it in the AviSynth plugins directory so I can use it for encoding if I so desire) and then manually register it.
Honestly in most cases you will only need MPC HC.

I used to use K-Lite until HD and now I use CCCP + CoreAVC which has worked great. You just have to update Haali.

Free-Codecs.com (http://www.free-codecs.com/) has a decent collection of codecs, although ffdshow should be pretty much all you need.

Do you think FFDShow is enough for my playbacks
I mainly use m2ts and mkv files
Sure don't need codecs to load video file with MeGUI ?

YOU NEED ONLY TWO THINGS:
1) FFDSHOW
2) Haali Media Splitter
BTW. FFDSHOW is a codec . all codecs in one library.
