advice on buying an archos 605 wifi

i am thinking of buying a used archos 605 wifi 160 gb from a friend (what would be fair market value for it).

does anyone have this pmp. is it possible for me to use it for:
gps ?
playing hd (1920x1080, 30 fps, 2500 kbits/s, xvid) on my tv using hdmi ?
recording hd from my cable box (hdmi) ?
skype ?

what would i need to purchase to make that possible ?

there website has different types of docks/ plug-ins but i dont know which ones is compatible with this specific pmp.
