Dear Jdobbs,

Could it be possible to have a small interface to choose the number of core you want to use?

For example if you have a quadcore, you should be able to choose 1,2, or 3 cores for DVD-RB (in order to continue to work with one core).

This new interface could recognize the number of maximum cores and let the user choose.

It would be more easy than to write as today in the .ini file, and you could save in "the project file", the number of cores for batch processing (4 cores for night encoding and 3 cores for day encoding...)

thanks
Francois

I havent used DVD-RB much lately, simply because i've switched to blu-ray, but i think it will not be easily realized.

DVD-RB doesnt have it's own encoder build in, so all the settings you want are somehow passed to the encoder you have chosen to use. So in all; The option you want has to be supported by that encoder, and it will depend on that encoder to have an option to set number of cores.

yes, sorry for my lack of precision, I use HC encoder as I can run multiple encoder instance.

You can set it to what you want in the INI file easy enough, and I don't think this is something that people do often enough to add another interface.
