Hello!
Yesterday I installed Vista Ultimate SP1 64bit and this error comes up when I try to encode something:
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/5997/x264errorrz3.th.png (http://img140.imageshack.us/my.php?image=x264errorrz3.png)

I am using techouse's latest (rev965) build.
x264, however, continues to encode, but I must click OK before that and I cannot set up a queue of batch files which slows things down a lot because I usually start it when I go to sleep and by the time I wake up, it is finished and ready to be watched. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to fix it? Vista has been creating me a lot of trouble and worries recently (I was using a 32bit version before I upgraded).

Thanks for reading,
stakiman

I'll make a wild guess and say that problem is coming from your input (Avisynth I assume) and not x264 itself.

I guess it is from me, as well, but what in x264 can be using this? I googled up a bit and there people get these errors but not x264 related in any way.

"Just reboot your development machine." What does he want to say with that?
Would I be posting if I hadn't rebooted... Still thanks, though. :)

Sometimes the solution is so simple, why not?

I have a second pass running now (for the fourth time *duh*) so I will try after it finishes. :)

Sounds like avisynth is trying to auto-load the immaavs plugin.

Awww ... I was trying to install that one not so long ago and I saved my plugins folder before I formatted the partition. Thanks a lot! I will see if the problem remains after 3 hours or so.

That fixed it, thanks a lot!
