I'm trying to rip a DVD (The Matrix) and get it converted to AVI, but I'm having some trouble. I rip the DVD with DVDDecrypter, and it seems to go ok. I can open the ifo files in PowerDVD and MPC, and they play ok. But if I try to play or edit the vob files, after a few minutes, the video starts to get glitchy and repeat pieces of the movie twice. I've also tryed ripping it with AnyDVD, and it does the same thing.

Try re-authoring Title 1 to a new folder uncompressed using DVD Shrink. Then convert the files in your new folder to AVI.

That did it. Thanks!

Another solution for future use is to rip in IFO mode. When you rip a multi-angle movie such as The Matrix in file mode, it combines all angles into the rip.
