I am recording HD shows using HDHomeRun in Beyond TV. When I watch the recording, everything is fine. The sound is there. I run it through autoxvid, which cuts commercials, then into autogk. When I watch the file after the cutting of commercials, the sound is there. But when I run it through autogk, the sound on the final recording is missing. The funny thing is, it is only on 1 channel. It only happens on shows recorded from The CW. Any other channel, it works just fine.

Any idea guys or girls. I cant figure out why it is just happening on just recordings from this one station.

Hi!

1) Load the final problematic .AVI into GSpot and post a screen capture back here.

2) As an experiment, load your original "BeyondTV" capture DIRECTLY into AutoGK (DON'T process with "AutoXviD"). Does the resultant file have audio?

Here is the Gspot screen shot.

I do not have the original file, but as soon as it happens again, I will save it.

Next time it happens post the AutoGK log file, please.

Well, it certainly appears that the final .AVI contains no audio - as opposed to my thought that it might have been in a format that doesn't playback on your system but, since you no longer have the source and cannot perform another conversion bypassing AutoXviD", I know of no way to tell what's causing this problem...

I will make sure to save the original file the next time it happens. Problem was it was set to automatically delete the final after going through autoxvid. i have turned that setting off so it wont delete. I will make sure to save all versions of the file. I will let you know. Also, where is the autoxvid log?
