View Full Version : AutoGK - Disregard my target file size - why?

Ok, I just installed autogk on a new pc, and updated to the 2.48 beta.

I am encoding a movie, and I explicitly told the program to encode to 700megs.

Despite me selecting the drop down option, the program encodes to whatever file size it wishes.

For one movie, it does about 600 megs. For another movie, it did 873 megs.

I do not understand why it is disregarding my 700 meg target option (this is from the drop down box). I am using XVID for encoding.

Any ideas how to fix this? On my other PC, it does respect my file target size. Not sure why on this other PC it is not. Please help.

My guess is the other PC has another Xvid version installed so try uninstalling it and re-installing AutoGK as well

Uninstall AutoGK, then uninstall Xvid before you reinstall AutoGK. If you installed AutoGK or Xvid over a previous version it will cause exactly this issue.

It worked!

I just uninstalled both xvid and autogk, and then reinstalled everything.

The target file sizes are now working. Thanks!
