Hello,

I'm sorry if this has been posted, really haven't found anything that helped me clear my head about it.

I am looking for an encoder that suits my needs, I want to encode video files to h.264 for flash.

- It can be for Windows or Linux (maybe mac)
- It can be a GUI or command line (only if the encoding speed or quality are better than a GUI)
- Good quality at low rates (256kb to 400 kb).
- fast encoding
- Suport for multiple file type sources (avi, mov, etc)
- support for export settings presets (not necessary but a plus)
- batch processing (not necessary but a plus)

If it helps, I am using a Q6600, maybe theres something that gets the best from multiple cores.

Regards!
Hugo.

In all your searching you never stumbled across x264.exe and MEGUI?

yes among others, that's why i'm asking for a recomendation, there's too much information  and I would like someone with more experience than me to point me to the right direction.

OK, those are my recommendations. :)

You get multiple input file type support through Avisynth. Good luck with the learning curve.

Feel free to post again as you run into any difficulties.
