Smart Ripper 99%

Whenever i use Smart Ripper it gets to 99% and then just sits there. Am I doing something wrong? Thanx

1) With what specific DVD (Title and Region number, please) are you using this extremely venerable program?

2) What procedure are you using ("Backup", "Movie", "Files", "Stream Processing")?

SmartRipper is not capable of properly processing the copy protection used on "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show" (or MOST newer DVDs containing newer copy protection, for that matter).

Use "DVDFab HD Decrypter" (NOT "DVD Decrypter")...

I tried those also and they wouldnt rip it properly...the .vob files that Smart Ripper output are all great.. I just need a way to compile them into a playable DVD.

You already have a playable DVD -- the one you are ripping! Just do an ISO read and then ISO write with DVD Decrypter if you're just trying to back up the DVD.

You already have a playable DVD -- the one you are ripping! Just do an ISO read and then ISO write with DVD Decrypter if you're just trying to back up the DVD.

Will I be able to burn a playable DVD from these files afterwards?

If I remember correctly, in addition to standard CSS, this DVD contains "XProtect" copy protection, which includes, among other things, false duplicate .VOBs, false gigantic and mismatched .IFOs and .BUPs, bad sectors, etc. - all or some of which preclude creating a successful .ISO image file...
