hi,

what is "interlaced" ?

When is a movie interlaced? What means that? How can I see it? What have I to do against it?

Interlaced is when the fields (half-pictures) of a frame are combined incorrectly. So when a clip is interlaced you will notice it in moving sections, the two fields are skewed, producing a combing effect.

What to do against it depends on what programs you use.

In general for telecined sources (this is only in NTSC btw), i.e. converted from 24fps progressive to 29.97fps interlaced, you perform IVTC. Forced film in DVD2AVI is a variation of that. And most sources that have been produced for TV/video will be natively interlaced and on those you just have to deinterlace.

And as beautiful as Yosemite is, please make that picture in your sig smaller (like mine :p) or I don't know what.
