besides a 3.3Ghz Q6600 has quite some power, that can come in handy me thinks ?!

so you can only achieve BOB or blending in realtime I guess ?

What exactly is "this thing"? That Software-Demo is *far* from realtime, too ... Tested on a 2.8GHz Pentium D915 (my office machine), processing speed was like ~5fps, with the result being not breathtaking.

HW implementations are a different story, sure, but that's not the subject of interest here, or is it?

I was just wondering what was a good solution for deinterlacing 29.97 NTSC videos in realtime in AVS..

I've tried quite a lot of them, and only ugly blending works in realtime....but there's some combing remaining.

Limitations of the demo:
video may be of 720x576 resolution or below
a trasparent logo is added if the original resolution is greater than 352x288
limited speed performance

Answers your question, tough indeed a Demo that doesn't show it's full capabilities and is extra slowdowned sounds strange (or maybe they mean just the time it needs to add the watermark)
Seems it is this one http://www.compression.ru/video/deinterlacing/index_en.html (not under any contract regulations,so completely their own)
guess this http://www.compression.ru/video/deinterlacing_samsung/index_en.html is still under contract regulations (made in coperation with Samsung Enginers)
