Sometime when I convert an avi file containing an AC3 stream to a mkv I receive the following error message, that there are some non AC3 byte at the beginning and that they will be skipped and introduced a delay, even if there wasn't a delay.
What could cause this?
I just try to convert a file and this happened just in the middle of the file.
I try than to convert the two files that created the big one I converted and when I converted the second one I rereceived that error message.

Is there the possibility to bypass it?
In avi files there are no problem.

Thanks

Sounds like the AVI has been cut wrongly. How did you make it? Include all the steps before you open it for conversion to MKV.

Unfortunately I don't know exactely how is cut because it was done by a friend of mine.
What make me thinj that is not a cut problem is that the secondary audio stream that is mp3 has no problem.
However I think he used VirtualDubMod.
The avi files palys without any problem or audio synchronization error.

Thanks

Unfortunately I don't know exactely how is cut because it was done by a friend of mine. Since you have not encoded/muxed this .MKV source yourself, your request would appear to be in violation of forum rule 6.
