I am converting my DVD movie colection to 1400Mb avi files but I don't know how to prevent autoGK from splitting the final file into two once the rip is done.
It's not a big issue and when I am paying attention I just abbort the process in Virtualdub, but I don't like the hard drive being used pointlessly once and again.
I don't seem to find any option preventing the splitting. I am using autoGK 2.48b under windows XP on a dell inspiron with virtualdub 1.5.10.2.
How can I avoid this?
Is there a preferences file so that I can take a look at it and learn to edit it for autoGK?
Does AutoGK generate a command file after "add job" and before "start encoding" that I can edit in any way?
Thanks in advance

Just set custom size to slightly less than 1400Mb (->1396Mb) and see how it works.
And why did you change VirtualDubMod to version 1.5.10.2?
Version 1.5.4.1 is recommended and the long time reliable and trusted one for use with AutoGk.

ok, I will return to the other version of Virtualdub, thanks.
Would it also work if instead of making the file a little smaller than 1400Mb I did it a little bigger?

As long as you don't use a number evenly divisible by 700 it won't split it.
