Help with removal of dupe frames

Hi guys, only got into avisythn the other month thanks to a friend.

issue i have and even passed it by him which even hes baffled by it, is i have a dvd which has dupe frames on it , now when i have put it through tmpgenc xpress frame by frame i have noticed its not just every 3rd frame thats a dupe, but an odd 4rth frame aswell.

so how do you deal with this, sicne you couldnt really deal with it via every 3rd frame as it would get so far and then completely mess up the source.

oh and the source is progressive 29.970

havent yet figured what software is out there that will look at the source and state the dupe frames etc.

all help is great.

oh the system is a xp sp2 pro core 2 quad 6600 with 2gb ocz flexx. if that helps

Post a link to an unprocessed sample of your source VOB that shows the video as you describe it.

29.97 progressive is very unusual on a DVD. What DVD is it?

well its part of a dvd that a friend has sent us becuase hes a bit of a novice at computers, and with me being with more experince he came to me.

i shall do a dample vob, but may take some time to upload during our capped time period tonight.

the 4th dupe frame happens it seems when the guards come inand the main gaurd stands for a moment then moves.

so the bit that gets me is if there is a dupe on the 4rth frame after the 3rd dupe frame, what woudl the script be becuase i do understand like i said before that if you dont get it right it will take out frames that it shoudl do, and miss ones that it shoudl do ...

Is that a commercial DVD? I ask because I have never seen a commercial DVD made like that.

i havent a clue, not a fan really of the actor jet li who i believe is on this dvd, so couldnt tell you the title, and the owner of the source is being a bit thick, plus they went to bed ages ago ..

so any help would be greatful. as the only thing i could think of which would knacker me and take over 2 weeks to do and that edit the whole thing by go to each 3rd frame untill the 4rth came up and start again 3rd untill 4th etc.

so anyone happen to know the script for this?

saying this, i have come across some but not many dvd's that were ntsc and progressive
