The encoder doesn't appear functional

When rebuilding with - DVD-RB v1.28.2 - AVISYNTH 2.5.5.0 using Enable Bitrate Redistribution and always use HC for redistribution checked I get the following msg:
- Redistributing using Base_Q: 36
-- V010000_REDIST no .M2V, retrying.
-- V010000_REDIST no .M2V, retrying.
- Failed to create M2V: V010000_REDIST
- The encoder doesn't appear functional.
- Aborting...
- Aborted, no REDISTRIBUTION.


What do I need to do to get this working again? Thanks for any and all suggestions!!

Amazing what ya can find when ya read a little. :search: "Uninstall both DVD-RB and AVISYNTH and then do the complete install. It will reinstall AVISYNTH when is realizes it isn't there." It worked like a champ....thanks jdobbs for the answer. :search:

FWIW: I realize this is an old thread, but I found after updating DVD-RB, I only needed to remove and reinstall Avisynth to get it working....:D
