Decrypting iTunes Files?

Hi,

I used to use the program QTFairUse to decrypt my purchased songs from iTunes... but after the makers got a C&D, they obviously stopped updating it. Apple then required you to update to a new version of iTunes to play your files so I'm stuck without a decrypter.

Does anyone know of one that'll work on the newest versions of iTunes? I read about a program called DoubleTwist that was developed by DVD Jon, but I haven't gotten it to work. All it does is suck up CPU and doesn't appear to do a thing.

If someone knows how to decrypt songs (Without burning to a CD and reripping as that's lossy), let me know! Tunebite's out too because that just records them.

It's a relief to see "older videos supported"... it's about time someone made a decrypter for those! What good are free videos if I don't have an iPod and iTunes can't play videos well!?

Requiem does videos, very very well indeed.
(except for movie rentals, they've explicitly left out decryption support for movie rentals)

HYmN hasn't worked since 4.9... Unless there's a new one.

I tried Requiem on a couple audio files I bought yesterday, with no luck. It made m4as, but they wouldn't play in any program. Does anyone know why? It doesn't require a special version of iTunes, does it? I have 7.7.something, and I just opened Requiem.jar (iTunes was not open), and it said it finished decrypting... when it just gave me broken files.

Those m4as will open in QuickTime, just not stuff like Winamp. Maybe they didn't get decrypted and still named m4a.

Turns out it did work. I just don't have the m4a plugin for Winamp. LOL
